The field takes place at
Châtel-la-Lune. The
manor got a splendid sight overhanging Risle's valley. On that place, it existed (
at the twelfth century) an old castle (fort) and its Mill ging
to Robert de Meulan. Near 1180, he gave the mill to Beaumont's Priory.
There were 80 families in the parish. Castle existed until 1526.
Afterward,
Châtel-la-Lune
was especially known by its milland its potteries until 1890, ruins of th
wheel are still visible.

It was
built on the walls of an important farm and was renovated in the Thirties by
the Baron. It's surrounded by old buildings forming a small village
: la Garde, les Chaumes, la Longère, la
Maison rose, the garden of the priest and his fountain,
new stables and other dependences.
In 2005
a new side was added in the respect of the traditions and old
building's materials.
Located on Le Noyer en Ouche, the field is close to Beaumont's forest and
forest of La Ferrière sur risle, crossing points of the Stags, Biches and
other Wild boars.
